RICK OR LONG TIME NO SEE

Rick is a friend from our time stationed at NAWC Pax River back 1992-1995.... Don has seen him a few times the last couple of years, but neither Chris nor I have seen Rick since leaving Pax. So good to see him. He has recently retired from the Navy and is taking a few months off to relax before starting a new career. Don, Chris and I were all highly involved with Boy Scouts back then...got Rick involved and even now he still is active. Has been doing 50-milers with his troop in Ventura County.

CHRIS AND HIS BIRTHDAY

Chris came down from Ridgecrest to spend his birthday week with us....sadly, I was working with a client and didn't get to spend as much time with him as I wanted. Here Don and Chris wrestle on the couch (run cats!)

We went over to see the car barns at Simpson Nursery in Jamul.......wonderful collection!

DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
