DID YOU KNOW SICILY HAS MAGNOLIA TREES?

These are on the tree growing in our front yard ... it is at least thirty-feet tall.  Took the second picture from our balcony.  I didn't know magnolias grew in  Sicily until we moved into our apartment.

With the heat here, most of the flowers are only lasting a day or so.

Holly, they are blooming here at the same time. Ours has lovely slightly lemony scented flowers on it. Aren't they beautiful? I love to use these leaves for decorating at Christmas time. I spritz them with a little gold. So pretty spritzed or plain! ~~Rhonda
