IT'S ARTICHOKE SEASON

It's artichoke season here - vendors are everywhere selling fresh from local fields. Twenty-five artichokes for 6 euro (about $8.50 in US dollars).
I love springtime here.

They look great! Pass a bundle this way, please. Are you in Italy?

Yummy! Even in artichoke season we don't see prices like that here.

Yes, Lakeviewer - DH and I currently live in Sicily. We met here when we were both in the Navy ... he got a job offer that was had to resist after I retired ... so we came back. No idea how long we'll be here ...we have such positive memories of the Sicilians from our first stay and it is still a very friendly, welcoming area. Holly

How fun! It's still my dream to spend part of the year in Italy. Have not worked out the finances yet.

You do know that I grew up in Italy and emigrated to the U.S. where I have resided now for over fifty years. Time flies.
